This photobook follows my three month journey through Nepal and India. In its pages, I revisit the nights spent at the feet of the Himalayan giants, the tenderness of being called “Buba” by the grandmothers of Batase, and the haunting stillness of watching bodies return to ash along the banks of the Ganges. Ananda is a journey outward into the world and inward into myself, instants captured with my camera and travel diary turned into something whole, fragile, and human.
30% of the benefits will be donated to Himalpyramis.org. A small, volunteer-run organization dedicated to providing financial support to families in rural Nepali villages, with the aim of helping girls in vulnerable situations access education.
Batase, the village where I lived for a month, is home to most of the girls supported by Himalpyramis.
